1. Somebody Up There Likes Me (1956)

The earliest film we're including, this 1956 classic with Paul Newman is truly one of a kind.


2. The Harder They Fall (1956)

A classic with Bogart, this film is was definitely one of the best early boxing movies.


3. Requiem For A Heavyweight (1962)

This epic film from the early 60s has to have one of the best casts of any boxing movie.


4. Rocky (1976)

The one, the only. No list is complete without Rocky, the original.


5. The Champ (1979)

The second best boxing movie of the 70s, The Champ is an epic, heart-wrenching story, guaranteed to bring tears.


6. Raging Bull (1980)

This De Niro film is truly one of a kind, and arguably his best movie for the pure emotion he shows.


7. Rocky III (1982)

Aside from the original, this has to be the best of the Rocky films, the first one distributed by MGM/UA, and a brilliant film.


8. Cinderella Man (2005)

This film set during the Great Depression has to be included. Russell Crowe and Renée Zellweger delivered award-winning performances.


9. The Fighter (2010)

It may be more recent, but this film was definitely an instant classic!
